The FireWire Vision Solution -- a combination of all the advantages of
the ADLINK GEME embedded system and the BASLER FireWire camera
series. This solution is ideal for semiconductor and component inspection,
manufacturing quality control, food and beverage inspection, microscopy
and medical imaging, intelligent traffic, and biometric applications.
The GEME system has a build-in standard IEEE 1394 connector
interface—there is no need for a frame grabber or interface card. The
BCAM1394 driver offers a low cost, Plug and Play solution with easy
integration by eliminating cabling and interface file creation problems.

BASLER FireWire Camera Series
Basler FireWire Series cameras are designed for industrial users who
require VGA or 1.3 Mega-pixel resolution and high frame rates. With
their compact size and the ease of integration associated with their
IEEE 1394 interface, A600 cameras are ideal for analog users seeking
the advantages of digital video.
The A300 series provides a digital area scan CCD sensor and the
A600 series provides a digital area scan CMOS sensor to ensure that
these versatile cameras provide an exceptional price / performance
ratio.
